ASR Pro: The #1 software for fixing Windows errors
I’ve been reading a few blogs and figured out that updating my BIOS is a must and now I’m running the latest major version. Also, I’ve read that it requires LEGACY SUPPORT – ENABLED and SECURE BOOT – must be DISABLED BOOT from the WIN XP disk.
I did this and the RESULT was the same 0x0000007b BSOD error.
I have read other HP owners almost about SATA and AHCI options, additionally on IDE. , but I just can’t find anything to train with my computer model. (…)
How do I fix error 0x0000007B?
Remove or reconfigure some of the newly installed disk controllers.Start above with the last known good configuration to be able to undo the corresponding driver and passenger registrations and changes.Using System Restore to undo recent changes.
Thanks for the detailed description, which we really appreciate.
This configuration error is usually related to the type of hard drive (SATA/AHCI/IDE), but either appears before installation blue screens like Windows XP (i.e. you won’t be able to format the hard drive to NTFS), or it doesn’t work at all. won’t recognize your current frustrating drive. Judging by your current description and photographs, it is immediately clear that in this state of the installation, I have never looked at alldown to HDD mode, who knows… Anyway, Windows XP is not supported on this PC model:
1) It’s been forgotten for too long – XP was made available to the community in 2001. It has now been discontinued since 2017 (16 years ago…)
2) Windows XP hasn’t been supported by Microsoft since 2014 (more than 3 years now), as are many other vendors that are also not supported
3) HP did not release Windows XP drivers for this PC model.
Actually, this PC officially supports Windows 5, 8, 8.1 – it might also be able to run Windows 10
Even if you manage to install XP on your PC, there is no way to get XP-compatible autodrivers, and many common hardware may not work properly. Think about how different communications and computers were 10-16 years ago.
4) You cannot change the HDD mode through this PC model – it will be seen as SATA or most likely AHCI.
So if you don’t like Windows 8 and you have a license designed for Windows 7, I recommend using Windows 7 – it should install and work just fine. To get drivers for W7 go to >>https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-g4-2200-notebook-pc-series/5296078/mode…
